Students reimagining entrepreneurship with Religious Education
The word entrepreneurship was once firmly associated with business for profits, but students at Stuartholme School in Toowong, are pushing the boundaries and reimagining a world where entrepreneurship is a platform for social enterprise and change.
Future Anything is working alongside Stuartholme School to complement the Social Justice unit in Yr 12 RE, by providing targeted lessons aimed toward developing student ability to not only identify areas in our society where people need help, but to help students develop the skills to channel their desire to make a difference into a viable social enterprise.
Dean of Mission, Justin Golding explained that Stuartholme School and Future Anything share a common goal in providing a pathway for students to create ideas for change as well as the skills and support to turn those ideas into a social enterprise.
“We are very proud to be the first school to work with Nicole on a curriculum for Religious Education and excited to see what our students come up with.
Future Anything develops fully resourced, and curriculum-aligned programs that support educators to deliver engaging learning that links to life.
“Stuartholme’s social justice program is student-led. We encourage our students to examine the world they live in and focus on areas where they want to make a difference,” Justin said.
Nicole is equally as passionate, and her curriculum-embedded programs inspire students to question who they are and who they could be in the future.
As a globally recognised expert and practitioner in project-based learning and student entrepreneurship, Nicole believes that youth-led ideas have the power to bend the future. Nicole works tirelessly to provide young people (and their educators) with the support, skills and space they need to take their ideas out of the classroom and into the real world.
Future Anything recently won the Lord Mayor’s Business Awards in Xero Award for Outstanding Micro Business 2021 category.
