Boarding Redevelopment

$6 million Boarding House redevelopment at Stuartholme School

Stuartholme School has commenced a 4 Stage $6 million redevelopment of the Boarding House to provide leading accommodation facilities with modern rooms for each girl.

The Boarding House at Stuartholme is situated in the 100-year old Renard Building which located in the centre of our School campus and in essence the Heart of our School.

In January 2020 Stage 1 of the Boarding House refurbishment was completed which involved an upgrade of the fire safety sprinklers, refurbishment of bathrooms and common room spaces across the three levels.

Stage 2 of the Boarding House redevelopment was completed in April 2020. This was a major renovation of 37 Year 12 dormitories and bathroom facilities.

Stage 3 of the Boarding House refurbishment has commenced during the 2021 June/July School Holidays and will see part of Level 3 under construction for the term while new Year 8-11 dormitories being built and installed. Part of this refurbishment will see new and exciting shared common spaces such as a Library, Art Room and upgraded “Nest”.

As Brisbane’s only Catholic Girls Boarding School in Brisbane we have been a leader in defining education and a Boarding School since our foundation in 1920.

We look forward to sharing this major redevelopment of our Boarding House with you and have our current girls and futures in years to come experience this new space. You can keep up to date with our progress by visiting this page regularly.
