Scholarship Program

Stuartholme has a long tradition of educating girls. Our Foundress, Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat, ensured the Society of the Sacred Heart contributed to the education and the promotion of women in her time and into the future. Sophie is quoted as saying “for the sake of one child, I would have founded the Society”. Her desire to educate all children was well known.  
Stuartholme honours Sophie’s wishes by offering several scholarships:

'Cor Unum' Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship is open for new students entering Year 7 in 2021. The Cor Unum Scholarship was founded in 2020 by the schools Cor Unum Captain and Committee.  

The scholarship is available to students who provide evidence of how they currently live out at least one of the Five Goals of Sacred Heart Education.

Scholarship value is $2,000 and includes: $1,000 datacom voucher for laptop, $1,000 school shop voucher.  

Please complete the application form and write up to 100 words, or create a short video that demonstrates: 

  • Your faith in God  
  • Your dedication to learning 
  • How you invite and include others 
  • How do you help others in need 
  • Something that is unique about you

Excellence in Sport Scholarship

Applications for the Excellence in Sports Scholarship are now open for new students entering Year 7 and Year 9 in 2021. 

The scholarship is open to all applicants who have represented either a sport at zone, regional, state or national level 

Sports eligible include:  

  • Big 3 (Cross Country, Swimming, Athletics) sports  
  • Club sports (Netball, Rowing, Water Polo & Equestrian) 

Applicants will need to demonstrate academic excellence, participation in wide range of school-based activities, support the schools Sacred Heart goals, have quality leadership skills and a good character.  

Value: $500 school contribution towards Regional or State financial commitments (travel, accommodation, team levy or uniform)

Excellence in Music Scholarship

Applications for the Excellence in Music Scholarship are now open for new students entering Year 7 and Year 9 in 2021. 

The scholarship is open to exceptional young music performers. 

Applicants will need to demonstrate academic excellence, participation in wide range of school-based activities, support the schools Sacred Heart goals, have quality leadership skills and a good character.  

Criteria for selection includes: 

  • Holistic commitment to music 
  • Student actively seeks ways to engage in music broadly 
  • Positive attitude that is contagious to everyone 
  • Open for all instruments to apply  
  • Report provided from private music tutor and classroom music teacher 

Value:  $500 school contribution towards ensemble levy and private music tuition 

To apply please complete the application form and provide evidence of your music most recent AMEB Practical exam or equivalent. 

Application process: 

  • Applications submitted by Term 3, Week 1 
  • Auditions in mid Term 3 

Excellence in Co-Curricular Scholarship

Applications for the Excellence in Co-Curricular Scholarship are now open for new students entering Year 7 and Year 9 in 2021. 

The scholarship is open to all applicants who have represented their school in a co-curricular program such as debating, speech & drama, visual arts, social justice program, entrepreneurial and other non-sport / non-music co-curricular programs 

Applicants will need to demonstrate academic excellence, participation in wide range of school-based activities, support the schools Sacred Heart goals, have quality leadership skills and a good character.  

Value: $500 school contribution towards Regional or State financial commitments (travel, accommodation, team levy or uniform)

Sister Mary Brennan Scholarships of Excellence

Scholarship applications for 2021 are now closed. The ACER Scholarship Test for 2021 applicants will be held on Saturday 29 February 2020.

The Sister Mary Brennan Scholarships of Excellence are available for new students commencing entry into Years 7, 10 and 11. The Scholarships provide 50 percent remission of tuition fees (not including boarding fees), for the duration of your daughters schooling. Scholarship-holders are expected to maintain academic excellence which will be monitored each semester throughout their years of schooling at Stuartholme. Awarding the Scholarships is based on the ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research) Scholarship Test results.

Sister Mary Brennan rscj was recognised for her scholarship and leadership. As such, scholarship-holders are expected to maintain high standards of academic excellence, to participate positively in the Co-curricula Program and to support the Goals of Sacred Heart Education. Stuartholme offers a limited number of bursaries for current families experiencing financial difficulty. For more information on Stuartholme Scholarships, please contact enrolments.
